"If I lay Here..."

"...if I just lay here, would you lie with me and just forget the world?" Recognize these lyrics?  Comment below with either the song title and/or artist for bonus points!

Apparently most of the songs I hear on Pandora I associate with movies or t.v. shows in which they were featured.  When I heard "Just the Way You Are" I practically wrote an entire post on Glee.  And this time the post will be about Grey's Anatomy (more specifically Denny Duquette and Izzie Stevens, but more on that later).  Grey's Anatomy has been on for many years now, but I just started to watch it about 10 months ago.  See, Fox would air reruns Sunday's at 11:04pm and I'd stay up and watch them from the beginning.  I eventually rented all the seasons and got caught up by the 2011 spring season premiere.  I really was a "school girl w/ time to waste."

For those of you who watch the show, I guess you could say that this song was featured in two episodes.  But considering the fact that I did not care for (actually hated) the "musical" episode this past spring, I am voiding that one. The episode that came to my mind was the saddest episode in my opinion---the episode where Denny dies.

I am not one of those people who cries at movies, t.v. shows, or even news stories.  (I always tell myself that I'm "saving my tears for a time when I really need them")  However, when I saw this episode, I did not have time to remind myself to save them because this was just heartbreaking. Surprisingly enough, I am not sad while writing this and reflecting back on the episode.  I had my one good cry while watching the episode, but now I am at a point where when I think about it, I kind of smile at the beauty of that scene and the episode all together.

So I end this post with a smile...that's how we should remember those that we've lost anyway =]
